7 Keys to Unlock the Mystery of Men: Helping Men to Label Feelings and Providing Explanations to Women

Within these pages, you will read simple thoughts and ideas which you have always known, but, I hope they are written so profoundly, that you would say, "Wow, I never looked at it that way." As you read, each key will open up new insight into men, who they are and how they think. The seven keys are to be used by women over and over again to enter into a man's world. Without these keys you are on the outside looking in. With the keys you are on the inside looking out. It is his world, through his eyes. Hostility and misunderstanding are minimized when women get a glimpse inside the mind of a man. Women say that men are strange and hard to understand. Men are not as strange as some would want to make us out to be. We are not as hard to understand, or to please, as some frustrate themselves over. Men are just different. Men are constantly bombarded with sights and encounters with women that cause them to be turned on daily. While a woman may become excited sexually if she is attracted to a man, a man can become sexually excited just at the thought of sex or the sight of a 'nakedly clad' female, even though she is a total stranger. Another difference is how we view children and our spouse. Most women are strongly attached to their children, so much so, that children fall high on the pecking order when it comes to getting a woman's attention, time and adoration. The relationship between mother and child is close. For some men it appears differently. A man's quality of relationship depends quite often on the quality of relationship with the child's mother. The closer a man is to a woman, the more he is likely to be involved with and accept their children; more so his step children. The irony is that most women ask men to share their thoughts to explain how men think in order that women can better understand men. When men venture to share what they do, how they think and behave, some women go on a "fix-men campaign" to "set their men straight." Don't try to straighten out your man, understand him and deal with him from a place of understanding only. As a man approaches mid-life he goes through what we call mid-life crisis. He begins to experience physical and sexual health problems. He may have financial challenges, his parent's and peer's health may begin to fail or they may even die. This is a trying time for a man between the years 40 to 60. It is during those years a man reflects on his life and dependent on what he sees, he either feels proud of his accomplishments or feels dejected. His own mortality looms large before him. He begins to see retirement and his youth passing. That feeling he gets is manifested in how he behaves and responds to his spouse and relationships around him. Some men try to recapture their youth by trying to live a part of their life they may have passed. It may be flirting with younger women, or he tries to dress years younger, or do the things to recapture his fleeing past. Interestingly, what he is going through, he may keep to himself, leaving his spouse to wonder what's happening to him of late. Oftentimes he himself has no answer and may be having challenges coping. No other book is written on the subject that brings out the thoughts and feelings as the "Seven Keys to Unlock the Mystery of Men." The seven keys are to be used to unlock the DOOR to the mind of a man.
