A Delayed Life

Dita Kraus was imprisoned in Auschwitz and Bergen-Belsen, given a librarian's role in the trade of smuggled books past the guards between prisoners. Kraus survived the horrors of the camp, and this powerful memoir charts her experiences of the holocaust and her attempt to rebuild in the aftermath. Kraus's life was the subject of Antonio Iturbe's "Sunday Times" bestseller "The Librarian Of Auschwitz".
