A Study of Connotative Words in Qur'an Translation

Connotations play an important role in language of advertising, of politics, of literature. Indeed, in these various connotations may be so powerful that they totally replace the denotative meanings.The connotative meanings are to be given due consideration by the translator of the Holy Quran to ensure its acceptability by the receptor of the Message, for connotative meanings have emotional association, may be personal or command, which are suggested by a lexical item. But the traditional use of connotation is quite different where the meanings involved largely correspond to the distinction between sense and reference, which are concerned with the external-world status.
