In the second half of the 20th century, the German automobile industry had to contend with boom, crisis, and change. Using case studies, this study examines the industry's vicissitudes, industrial relationships, and market culture. The scope of the book is extended internationally with focused studies on the United Kingdom, Spain, the US, Sweden, and former Eastern bloc nations.
