This book is a practical guidebook in biochemistry, for medical as well as life sciences' students. Prof. Kiran Dip Gill obtained her Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana, India in 1974. She was a postdoctoral fellow at University of Gottingen, Germany in 1977-1978. In 1981, she joined department of Biochemistry, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, India. She has taught Biochemistry to post-graduate students for almost 35 years. She was also in-charge of clinical biochemistry lab, where biochemical investigations are done routinely. She has authored four chapters in books and published more than 125 research papers in her career. She is recipient of several awards for her contribution in research work.
Dr. Vijay Kumar obtained his Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry under the guidance of Prof. Kiran Dip Gill from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh in 2009. In 2010, he joined Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. Since then, he is actively involved in teaching Biochemistry to post-graduate students. He has published more than 20 research papers and three review articles in reputed journals.
