Brendan Prairie

Bill Malone has entered middle age a broken man. Widowed, and sapped of the passions of his youth, he is stimulated into fury--and action--when his beloved retreat, Brendan Prairie, is selected as the site for a housing development. When the developer dies in a suspicious accident, and a woman from Malone's past is called in to investigate, old emotions resurface, and Malone must confront some unsettling truths about himself.
