About the Author. B. E. was born on March 30, 1953 in Frankfurt Main, Germany as the daughter of an US Army soldier and a nurse. She was named Berta Edith Schulz. About 6 months later, she and her parents moved back to the USA. B. E. lived from 1953-1956 in Conn. USA. B.E. speaks English and German.
