Cane growing capacity of Sindh and its consumption in sugar industries

Pakistan is best crops producer like wheat, sugarcane, cotton, and rice. Pakistan is highly reliant on the agricultural sector, which is the key source of income and employment-generating region of the economy. Sugar cane industry fortunate the prime growing regions are the examples i.e. Australia, Mauritius, Indonesia, Pakistan, Peru, Brazil, Philippines, El Salvador and Hawaii. Sugarcane produces abundant and valuable by products Molasses by which produce Ethyl alcohol used by pharmaceutical industry and as a fuel, Bagasse used for paper and board manufacturing and also burning sugar mills furnaces, and press mud used as a rich source of organic matter and nutrients for crop production. Agriculture economics is most studied but least understood. This research will bring improvement in cane potential highest yield per hectare and will also increase recovery rate as well as improve sucrose contents. Its realization and its importance, measures will take for its development and by the research expertise emphasizes the balance growth for industrial and rural sector development of Pakistan.
