This book will provide, for the first time available, a concise but high yield topic review of cardiac sarcoidosis from risk factors to the development of the disease through treatment options. The book will include concepts that are emerging and those that are now known on the topic, and will use real world examples to help illustrate best practices in the management of this disease entity.

The Sarcoid team at National Jewish Health in Denver, CO treats lung diseases of all sorts in the nation's top respiratory hospital for the past 15 years. The cardiology division has had thousands of patient visits collectively dealing with cardiac sarcoidosis, its manifestations and management. The National Jewish team is fortunate to work in a multi-disciplinary team of cardiologists, pulmonologists, occupational medicine specialists, and radiologists who work together in treating this challenging disease entity. Most recently, Drs. Freeman and Weinberger chaired the cardiac sarcoidosis session at the scientific sessions of the American College of Cardiology which also featured Dr. Sauer. Dr. Freeman has also been featured in the American College of Cardiology's audio digest, ACCEL on the topic and has recently published a manuscript on the diagnosis of cardiac sarcoid in the American Journal of Cardiology.
