Catholic Hymns is a collection of religious poems, chants, hymns and sermons assembled by a Roman Catholic priest Henry Formby from Catholic Hymn-books and from the works of Catholic authors. Hymns have been carefully revised, and in some instances cast into an almost entirely new form. Henry Formby was an English Roman Catholic priest and writer. He was profoundly influenced by the Oxford Movement, and he decided to resign his living and join the Catholic Church. Formby continued studying theology till he was ordained priest. His main interest was in ecclesiastical music and he published several books of religious poems,
