Conan the Cimmerian

Conan is a warrior, adventurer, thief and pirate, who comes from Cimmeria in the high north and finally becomes King of Aquilonia. His main attributes are his physical strengh, his courage and his barbaric code of honor. Conan was the first hero of the Sword and Sorcery. He is an iconic figure of the modern Fantasy, whose deeds got the basis of cinematic movies, comics and new stories. This volume contains the following of Robert E. Howards original works: Cimmeria, The Phoenix on the Sword, The Scarlet Citadel, The Frost-Giant's Daughter, The God in the Bowl, The Tower of the Elephant, The Black Stranger.

Robert Ervin Howard (1906 - 1936) was born and living in Texas/USA. He invented the fictional Hyborean Age, in which the tales about Conan the Cimmerian take place. He wrote 21 stories about Conan and one poem and one essay about the world he lives. Moreover he created other famous characters like Kull the Conqueror and Salomon Kane. He is regarded as the father of the Sword and Sorcery Subgenre.
