Cooperation and Hegemony in US-Latin American Relations

This book reconsiders the so-called Western Hemisphere idea, showing that it can be conceived as an illuminating and flexible conceptual framework through which we can gain new and enriching insights into the history and politics of US-Latin American relations.

Andrew R. Tillman completed a PhD at the University of Cambridge, UK. Currently, he is a Senior Research Associate at the White House, USA. Previously, he was an Associate Fellow at University College London's Institute of the Americas, UK, and a Visiting Researcher at the Instituto de Estudios Superiores, Venezuela.
Juan Pablo Scarfi received his PhD in 2014 from the University of Cambridge, UK. He is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centro de Historia Intelectual, Universidad Nacional de Quilmes, Argentina. He was a Visiting Scholar at University College London's Institute of the Americas, UK, and Columbia University, USA. He is the author of El imperio de la ley: James Brown Scott y la construcción de un orden jurídico interamericano (2014).
