The editor Tilak Raj, trained in England and is Board Certified in Medicine and Anesthesia. He is Fellowship trained in Cardiovascular anesthesia and also Board certified in the US. Dr. Raj worked as a Staff Anesthesiologist (Consultant) for the National Health Service in England and then in an Academic setting in the US and has been involved in teaching and training residents in both countries for over twenty years. His primary interest is in Cardiovascular, Thoracic, Obstetric, Acute Pain and Regional anesthesia. Dr. Raj's publication are in those areas and he has also written numerous chapters for books. He is a member of the ASA, IARS, SCA and IARS and also the OAA in the UK.

He is an invited speaker and teacher in regional anesthesia workshops both in the US and internationally.  Dr. Raj is on the editorial board of anesthesia journals and also has been a reviewer for post-graduate journals in Medicine and Anesthesiology.
