Deutsche Kanzleisprache in Hexenverhörprotokollen der Frühen Neuzeit

Based on transcriptions of witch interrogations from early modern times, the work presents a regionally differentiated documentation and examination of German official language. The 54 representative transcripts from witch interrogation trials between 1580 and 1650, edited here for the first time, were taken from Swiss, German, and Austrian archives in order to best represent all language regions of the German-speaking area.
