Developing a Management System for Assessing Dams Safety

The aims of the research are to develop an advanced scientific and practical framework for dams safety management (Iraq case study), where include two aspects: The first: theoretical side which included a literature review, research and studies related to the subject of research and gives an accurate description for largest and the most important dam projects in Iraq, it represents the basic elements which will be applied by the proposed system, touched on the concept of the dams safety management with their goals, the most important principles and foundations of the peculiarities of these process through each stage of the life of dams. The second: practical side, which includes assessing the most important obstacles faced by the basic elements to obtaining an integrated management system for evaluating the safety of dams, keep pace with global developments in this field according to different strategies.
