Die benediktinische Klosterreform im 15. Jahrhundert

A major concern at the great Councils of the late Middle Ages was the reform of monastic life. Starting from the Italian Benedictine Abbey of Subiaco, these efforts were broadly mirrored in German-speaking monasteries. They evolved into centers of reform (Melk, Tegernsee, St. Gallen) in which the Rule of Saint Benedict developed new spiritual and cultural force.
