Employment and Re-Industrialisation in Post Soeharto Indonesia

Indonesia holds a highly relevant place in Asian Studies as it is the 4th most populous country in the world. It is also a member of ASEAN and one of the G-20 major economies.Analyses Indonesia's democratic transition from a new perspective, i.e. that of political economy, while previous literature has focused on political or sociological approaches.Combines the study of political economy and conflict studies in an interdisciplinary fashion.Does not only cover one type of conflict, but analyses four: secessionist, ethnic, everyday and electoral conflicts.Unique in the sense that it deals with Indonesia's violent internal conflicts rather than just focusing on external relations.
