Essay from the year 2015 in the subject Philosophy - Practical (Ethics, Aesthetics, Culture, Nature, Right, ...), , language: English, abstract: An explanation for the rise of 'environmentalism' in the West. Modern environmentalism suffers from a number of false preconceptions. The environmental movement stems originally from the Western Christian tradition of doing good and the accompanying conviction that mankind is intrinsically evil.
