Having long accepted the common opinion that only two Americanwomen aphorists were worth reprinting (Mae West and Dorothy Parker), I was surprised to discover the aphorisms of Minna Antrim and soreprinted three of her books into a single volume. That discovery led mein turn to inquire about others. An enthusiast for aphorism recommendedMignon McLaughlin (1913-1983), a later writer whose collections I'dreprint, were they not already protected by copyright.
