A third man was arrested on suspicion of murdering a non-league footballer who was attacked during a night out. Jordan Sinnott, 25, who played for Matlock Town, died in hospital after being found unconscious in Market Place, Retford. Two 21-year-old men were arrested on suspicion of murder. Another man was charged over a separate assault. Mr Sinnott was found with a fractured skull and died in hospital on the same day. Tributes was paid to the footballer, who also played for Huddersfield Town, Altrincham, Bury FC, Halifax Town, Chesterfield and Alfreton Town. Now, we take a look at other footballers who met a tragic end to their lives through similar ways, and I try to look at why they are targeted and try to understand why people commit such crimes amongst players.
