This book aims to exchange and share the experiences and research results on the geospatial technology applied in water resources management. It will present the most recent innovations, trends, challenges encountered and the solutions adopted in the area of geospatial technology. It will be beneficial for academicians, scientists, meteorologists, and consultants working in the field of water resources management.

Hassane Jarar Oulidi, Professor of Geoinformatics
Hassane Jarar Oulidi is professor of Geomatics at Hassania School for Public Works Engineering (EHTP), Casablanca, Morocco. From 2015 and 2018, he was a head of the Department of Mathematics, Computer Sciences and Geomatics (MIG). He was a former researcher at the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), Germany. His current research activities focus on the design and the development of geospatial data infrastructure for water resources management. His other research interests include geospatial sensor web, OGC standards and interoperability. He established an e-learning program course for GIS and remote sensing with the collaboration of the National School of Geographic Sciences (ENSG), France. He has led and participated in many research projects and has authored and co-authored numerous academic chapter's books and articles. He was member of the program committee of several conferences in the area of geomatics and geospatial technology. He works with many companies to help them manage and implement GIS project.

Abdelhamid Fadil, Assistant Professor of Geomatics
Abdelhamid Fadil is an assistant professor of Geomatics in the Department of Mathematics, Computer Sciences and Geomatics at Hassania School for Public Works Engineering (EHTP), Casablanca, Morocco. He received his PhD in Geomatics & Hydrology from Hassan II University of Casablanca in 2013. He obtained a Master degree in Geographic information system from Marne-la-vallée University (France) in 2006 and Engineer Degree in Geographic information Sciences from EHTP in 1998. Before working at EHTP as assistant professor in 2014, he worked at EHTP as training engineer from 2001-2014. His research interests cover the areas of Geomatics, Geographic information systems, Data science, Big Spatial Data, Spatial Analysis and applied geomatics. He published several articles in the fields of geomatics, geospatial technologies and GIS. He was the coordinator of the international conference MORGEO organized in 2017 at EHTP and he is the president of the Moroccan Association of Geomatics (AMAGEO).

Nouredine Semane, Assistant Professor of Meteorology
Nouredine Semane is an assistant professor of Meteorology at Hassania School for Public Works Engineering (EHTP), Casablanca, Morocco. He obtained his PhD in Oceans, the atmosphere and continental landmasses, from Paul Sabatier University of Toulouse, France in 2008, and then served as a researcher at the Moroccan Metrological Service and later as a consultant at the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF, UK) before joining the EHTP in 2016. His research interests are in the areas of satellite data assimilation and numerical modelling. The goal of his work is to improve the understanding of the coupling between ozone variability and meteorology (Semane et al., 2001, 2005, 2007). He has been also investigating the potential of wind extraction from 4D-Var assimilation of satellite ozone data (Semane et al. 2009). After joining the ECMWF, he has started investigating the coupling between large-scale atmopheric circulation and convective precipitation (Semane et al., 2015). He has authored and co-authored over 10 scientific publications in top-field academic journals and he is regularly participating in international scientific conferences.
