Giving a voice to the Oppressed?

The International Oral History Association (IOHA), founded in the late 1970's, is one-of-a-kind in the academic landscape. Its members, driven by the desire to democratize historical scholarship, wanted to give groups who - until that point, had not been heard - a voice. The authors deal with the academic approach and the political convictions of the previous generations.
