Griechische Kunstwerke im politischen Leben Roms und Konstantinopels

This study traces the history of Greek works of art that were first taken to Rome in the Republican era and later moved to Constantinople in the 4th century AD. It examines the effects of these changes in location on their meaning by presenting the available written and archeological evidence on art in public spaces.
