This guide describes around 50 cities of the Holy Roman Empire that served as geographic centers for economic, cultural, political, and ecclesiastic activities during the Early Modern Period. It includes a description of the historical setting of each particular center, outlines its social and economic parameters, its cultural output, and its reception and documentation.
