What is our intention with the book? Imparting knowledge and experience in step with actual practice and future trends to everybody concerned with housekeeping and managing procedures for housekeeping. With the information of the book, I wish to sensitize professionals and managers from tourism, hotel CEOs, executive officers and managers, supervisors, room division managers, trainees, students and career changers for ambitious housekeeping.

Frank Höchsmann, born in Hermannstadt / Sibiu, is economist and quality auditor. In the middle of the 1970ies he managed a medium sized hotel near Cologne, Germany. Until the end of the 1980ies he managed the tourism department at a university of applied sciences in Bogotá, Colombia. In the 1990ies he was responsible for the training department of the Uruguayan Hotel and Restaurant Association. At that time he published several books on hotel and tourism management topics with his wife Martha. Since 2001, Frank and Martha Höchsmann live in Germany again. Here he founded and registered together with his wife Martha the service company HOTQUA (hotel tourism quality), which has specialised on qualification and training as well as Quality Standards and Quality Management. For several years, Frank Höchsmann is a board member of the Tourist Association Berlin-Reinickendorf and member of Carl Wolff Business Club.
