India and Nepal relations

Foreign policy is basically a set of principles of the state or government to regulate and strengthen its bilateral, trilateral and multilateral relationships with other countries. India and Nepal are closely linked with each other through the bonds of geography, culture, history and economy. It would not be possible for foreign policy makers to ignore Nepal, in view of its geostrategic importance while formulating the foreign policy of India.
