Information Entropy and Isospectral Hamiltonians

Quantum information theory has potential implications for the conceptual foundations of quantum mechanics and forms the basis of cryptography and modern communication technologies. It is the mathematical theory of communication which is used to find the speed and quantity of information transmission. The information entropy is a fundamental quantity, which measures the extent of the single particle density. The information entropy of some potentials has been explained in position and momentum space and BBM inequality is verified. With the advent of supersymmetric quantum mechanics, there has been a revival of interest in the determination of isospectral potentials. The information entropy in position space for isospectral Pöschl-Tellor potential is obtained and rearranged as a function of deformation parameter.
