This book focuses on green mine evaluation. Dr. Jiushuai Deng is currently a professor in the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, at the China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing). He completed a period of Postdoctoral Fellow Research work in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering at the University of Toronto, Canada, and he was a visiting scientist in the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization, Australia. He is a distinguished young scholar in the development of innovative, cost-effective technologies for the metallic mineral processing and recycling of industrial solid wastes and has a proven track record of new technology developments. His publication record includes 93 papers published in prestigious refereed journals. He is a co-inventor on 26 patents and a co-applicant on another 12 patent applications. In recognition of his outstanding research achievements, he awarded Outstanding Young Scientific and Technological Talents in China's Mining, Oil and Safety Field, a Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation Award, a Yueqi Outstanding Scholar, a National Outstanding Youth Science and Technology Award for Nonferrous Metals, Green Mine Youth Science and Technology Award and many awards for scientific and technological achievements, etc.
Professor Suping Peng is born in Pingxiang City of Jiangxi Province, Chinese academician of Engineering, China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing). He is an expert in mine geology and engineering geophysical exploration, made rich achievements in mine geology, mine engineering geophysical exploration, hydrogeology, coal exploitation and ecological environment protection, clean coal technology, etc. He successively obtained National Technology Invention Award two prize 2, National Science and Technology Progress Award two prize 3, provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological progress special prize 1, first prize 6 and many other awards. He had national invention patents 37, software copyrights 14, monographs 7 and more than 100 papers. According to the geological structure and ecological environment characteristics of Ordos Basin, he presided over a major project of Shaanxi Coal Group Key Project (2018SMHKJ-A-J-03) and established technology system research and development and ecological demonstration and promoted the harmonious and active development of energy development and environmental restoration. He is the director of the State Key Laboratory of Coal Resources and Safe Mining Laboratory, the expert member of National Energy Expert Advisory Committee and International Energy Commission, IBSS's Chairman, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Education, the chairman of the Chinese Society of Public Safety, an expert member of Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Science and Technology in the field of energy major basic research. He is also the dean of the Institute of Mine Ecological Restoration and the director of the Green Mine Environmental Protection Committee at China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing). In 2007, he was elected as an academician of the Department of Energy and Mining Engineering, Chinese Academy of Engineering (the youngest academician at that time), the deputy director of the eighth academic department and the director of the ninth academic department. He is currently a member of the Presidium of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
Dr. Yinli Bi, born in Yulin City of Shaanxi Province, currently serves as a professor at Xi'an University of Science and Technology. She completed a period of Doctoral Research work in Soil and Plant Nutrition, China Agricultural University, and carried out collaborative research in Queen's University Belfast, Northern Ireland. She engaged in the environmental governance and ecological restoration of mining areas and developed the production and quality control of microbial agents in arid and semi-arid coal mining areas in western China. She successively obtained National Science and Technology Progress Award two prize 2 (ranked first and sixth), provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological progress prize 11, China Coal Industry Science and Technology Award first prize 2. She had national invention patents 25, software copyrights 4, monographs 4 and more than 180 papers (SCI/EI 60). In recognition of her outstanding research achievements, she awarded a Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation Award, a Yueqi Outstanding Scholar, China Youth Science and Technology Award, Special government allowances of the State Council, Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University, etc. She is the dean of Institute of Ecological Environment Restoration in Mine Areas of West China and assistant dean of College of Geology and Environment, Xi'an University of Science and Technology, Standing director of China Coal Society, Science and Technology Award Evaluation Expert of Ministry of Education and Ministry of Science and Technology, Member of the Academic Committee of the State Key Laboratory of Groundwater Protection and Utilization by Coal Mining (first session), the deputy director of the Coal Mine Land Reclamation and Ecological Restoration Professional Committee of the Chinese Coal Society, the member of the Soil Science Society of American, and an editorial board members of the Mycosystema and Journal of Agro-Environment Science, etc.
Dr. Jun Yao was an awardee of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, now is currently professor and the director of Research Center of Environmental Science and Technology, China University of Geosciences( Beijing). She is also the director of the Joint Laboratory of Environmental Science and Health between China and Hungary and the director of the National Joint Base on Environment and Energy; she was a visiting professor at Yale University, USA, and a visiting professor at UFZ Environmental Center, Germany. She handled a number of big international and national key projects about environmental control and treatment in mining, develop a lot of new technologies and theories for resource utilization, reduction of mine waste and pollution prevention and control. She has won a number of international cooperation awards and national science and technology progress awards. She is a co-inventor on 37 patents, her publication record includes 239 papers published in prestigious refereed journals.
Mr. Qiongjie Wang, born in November 1969, currently is the chief reporter of China Mining News and the director of national green-mine publicity. After joining the China Mining News in 2000, he served as a reporter and deputy director of the editorial center. Committing to standard policy research, grassroots research and publicity and promotion of green mine construction, he has participated in the drafting and revision of green mines and green exploration standards. He has published Exploration of Green Prospecting and Practice. He actively promoted the publicity of green mines and successively published more than 200 high-quality typical green mine articles in China Mining News, Economic Daily, Workers' Daily, etc. Several advanced models of green mines he launched have aroused a positive response in the society. His works have successively won the first prize of China Industrial Economy News, the first prize of Workers Daily Correspondent Good News, and the second prize of National Good News for National Land and Resources. He has been awarded the National Advanced Individual for Green Mines many times and has been awarded as an outstanding reporter and advanced worker by China Mining News for many consecutive years.
