Kulturgeschichte Ostpreussens in der Frühen Neuzeit

These 28 articles by German, Polish, Russian and Estonian scholars deal with the latest research findings on various aspects of East Prussian cultural history. They encompass the history of book production and libraries in Königsberg, the historical relations between Prussia and its neighbours and the confessional conflicts of the 16th and 17th centuries, the university, the pictorial arts and music, as well as historiography and literary history. The volume is also distinguished by the fact that various source texts are edited and/or bibliographically documented for the first time, among them the »Liederbuch« of Abraham of Dohna.
