Lady Charing is Cross

When outspoken Scottish socialist Neil Tummel is elected to Parliament, Lady Charing takes him under her wing to smooth his rough edges for the political stage. But as she tutors him in manners, dress, and society, Neil suspects the charming aristocrat's interest goes beyond politics. When the truth of their ambitions emerges, Neil and Lady Charing must confront the illusions they held not just of each other, but of themselves.

This sharp social satire explores integrity, hypocrisy and the sacrifices made in the quest for power across class divides in Edwardian England.
