The book contains recent research about physiology, psychology, nutrition and training aspects of Marathon Running of different age, gender and performance level. Christoph Zinner received his doctorate in Exercise Science at the German Sport University Cologne in 2013. He then served as post-doctoral researcher at the Swedish Winter Sport Research Center in Östersund, Sweden. Since 2015 he is research associate at the Department of Sport Science at the Julius Maximilians University Würzburg, Germany. His research interests are mainly in exercise and training science and the influence of external stimuli on physical performance of athletes.
