He loved and respected them for their speed, agility, stamina and over all abilities. This story is about a father and son's relationship with Buck and Lady and each other. "Through the years I worked with my father, taught me everything about horses, even their habits and tricks. I worked with Buck and Lady from 1942 until 1954, when I joined the army. Even to this day if I see a tan or white horses, I think of Buck and Lady. I loved the two horses next door and recall all the great times my dad and I had with them and each other."
