Tracing the historical developments involved, they reveal the challenges humans must grapple with today.



Günter Abel is Professor of Philosophy at the Institute of Philosophy, the Theory of Science, and the History of Science and Technology at the Technical University of Berlin. Hans-Jürgen Engfer is Professor of the History of Philosophy at the University of Leipzig. Christoph Hubig is the director of the Department of the Theory of Science and the Philosophy of Technology at the Institute of Philosophy, Education, and Psychology at the University of Stuttgart.
