Organic Reactions, Volume 102

The 102nd volume in this series for organic chemists in academia and industry presents critical discussions of widely used organic reactions or particular phases of a reaction. The material is treated from a preparative viewpoint, with emphasis on limitations, interfering influences, effects of structure and the selection of experimental techniques. The work includes tables that contain all possible examples of the reaction under consideration. Detailed procedures illustrate the significant modifications of each method.

P. ANDREW EVANS holds the Alfred A. Bader Chair of Organic Chemistry at Queens University, Kingston (Canada). His research interests are primarily focused on the explorations and development of new metal-catalyzed reactions and their application to the total synthesis of complex bioactive natural products. He has published over 100 papers, articles, reviews and monographs. He has also delivered nearly 500 plenary and invited lectures at international conferences, symposia, universities, research institutes and companies.
