Organozinc Derivatives and Transition Metal Catalysts

Organozinc derivatives are now easy to prepare and their reactivity can be modified with transition metals. They are used in cross-coupling reactions with halides and pseudo-halides to form C-C bonds. The advantage of organozinc derivatives over Grignard reagents is that they are more chemoselective and have a higher funcional group tolerance. This book describes current aspects and limitations of the field, such as enantioselective couplings.
