Pennsylvania Dutch Design

It is amazing how authentic and traditional PA Dutch folk artists maintained and sold their work throughout the low price kitsch popularity boom. This shows the commitment to these traditions by the folk artists. It is ironic that the same kitsch products that could have jeopardized the practice of PA Dutch folk artists may instead have served to preserve and spread PA Dutch influence and made it more recognizable. PA Dutch folk art isn't dying out anytime soon. But as a living art form, it continues to grow and expand as the times change and the materials change. The time may be ripe for an update to the affordable marketing of mass produced PA Dutch patterns.
