Philosophers of Technology

This volume identifies and explores the development of three schools in the philosophy of technology: the critical, the phenomenological, and the pragmatist. The book shows how contemporary thinkers have responded to challenges raised by the works of the founders of the schools: Karl Marx, Martin Heidegger, and John Dewey. The volume illustrates the relevance of these schools to standing debates about educational technologies.
