Photo-Induced Effect In Cuprate Superconductors

A quarter of a century on from the discovery of high- superconductivity in Cuprates, there is still no agreed mechanism for the pairing of carriers. Both the pairing mechanism and phase diagram of Cuprates are far from being completely understood. In the present work, an attempt has been made to explain various aspects of Cuprates superconductors based on photo induced effect in two band model. The model explains some of the observed properties of and similar systems. The theory conclusively demonstrates that photo excitation induces and enhances superconductivity in Cuprates. This book will prove invaluable for students and scientists contemplating research in this field.
