George Grote (1794 - 1871) was an English political and classical historian. He is best known for his major work, the History of Greece. During his carrier he created numerous works on the history and political essays. In From 1826 to 1830 he was one of the responsible for the organization of University College London. He was elected as a Member of Parliament in 1832 and served three terms, advocating for the introduction of secret ballot. He dedicated the last years of his life to the works on Plato and Aristotle.
