Praktiken europäischer Traditionsbildung im Mittelalter

This volume is a collection of articles on the genesis of cultural traditions in the Middle Ages. A focus is placed on the rules and mechanisms governing the formation of tradition, and on the ways in which the themes and materials of European literature became ‛canonical’ through processes of cultural transfer and transformation. The book thus offers fundamental insights into the formation of tradition.
