Magued Iskander, PhD, is a professor at the Polytechnic Institute of NYU. He teaches related courses in granular media, structural geology, and geotechnology. Dr. Iskander has authored four books, edited nine books, and has published more than 130 papers and reports including over 50 journal articles and 12 periodicals/special publications. He has been the Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-PI of over $9 million in funded grants and contracts and was the recipient of the 2010 National Science Foundation CAREER Award in addition to numerous university teaching awards
