Reclamation of Coal Mined Out Lands

Degradation of agricultural and non-agricultural land, decline in agricultural productivity, adverse effect on biodiversity, pollution of land and water are some of the visible environmental impacts/effects of coal mining. Derelict land, caused due to mining, and its management by reclamation techniques is a subject of both practical and ecological interest.
