Reducing Your Own Carbon Footprint

Engage students in global climate change by personalizing their own carbon footprint. Introduce students to the effects of global climate change and its human-related causes. With our resource, students will learn about their footprint at home and get tips on how to reduce it. Teach your students about their travel footprint and alternative modes of transportation; then find out about their food footprints and ways to eat healthier, both for the environment and themselves. Finally, students will learn about the footprints of manufactured items, and the waste that comes from their trash. Using simplified language and vocabulary, our resource is comprised of reading passages, comprehension questions, crossword puzzle, word search, test prep, color mini posters, and a carbon footprint calculator that will allow students to calculate their personal carbon footprint. All of our content is aligned to your State Standards and are written to Bloom's Taxonomy.
