Lara V. Marcuse, MD, is co-director of the Mount Sinai Epilepsy Program and is an Assistant Professor of Neurology. Dr. Marcuse joined the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2009. She is board certified in neurology and neurophysiology. Dr. Marcuse received her BA in mathematics and neurobiology from Cornell University and her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. In medical school, she received the Daniel Mann Award for her outstanding service to underserved communities. She did her medical internship, neurology residency, and neurophysiology fellowship at the NYU-Langone Medical Center. She served as chief resident for neurology in her final year of residency.
