Benjamin Michéle received his Dipl.-Ing. degree in computer engineering from TU Berlin in 2009. He then worked as a research assistant at TU Berlin and at the Telekom Innovation Laboratories until 2015. He is currently finishing his PhD thesis on the topic of consumer electronics security. His research focuses on the security of Smart TVs media playback systems and the security of broadcasting-related technologies such as DVB-T and HbbTV. He is collaborating with consortia and vendors to improve the security of devices and standards. He has received awards for presenting his work at international conferences, and his research has been the subject of international media coverage.
