Living in a commercial beehive with thousands of other honeybees, Shayla's sole task is to gather nectar. It was not until an attack on the hive by a nearby hornet colony does she see the hive for what it really is; a slave-driven honey making factory controlled by a self-serving human beekeeper. Discovering that freedom exists in a nearby "Grand Oak" tree, Shayla takes on the arduous but necessary task of liberating the other bees from her box-hive as well as the bees from the other box-hives controlled by the beekeeper.
