Statutory and Non Statutory Planning: A Case Study of Mazowe, Zimbabwe

This books seeks to investigate the relevance and usefulness of both statutory and non statutory planning tools in Mazowe District. It compares the effectiveness of the traditional planning tools such as master plans and local plans against the often called non statutory tools such as layout plans, development briefs, strategic plans in the context of a District that has rapidly developing urban centres. Statutory and non statutory planning tools should be used as complementary tools for effective spatial development to take place.
