Study and analysis of horizontal light pipe system with laser cut panel

The utilization of sun light is exceptionally helpful in office structures andresidential building because energy utilization can be decreased and working conditionscan be improved. It also influences human beings wellbeing and profitability. In somecase, bringing sun light into deep area of office or residential house rooms with simplearrangement of basic windows or sky facing windows is unattainable. To solve thisproblem light transport framework are important to bring sun light into the profoundcenters of structures. This work describes the methods for transporting sunlight to deeperareas of building structures. The main motive of this work is to upgrade the performanceof light transporting pipe by simulating individual component as well as whole productand minimizing transmission losses of light. In this project the daylight is transportedthrough horizontal mirror light pipe (MLP) into deeper areas of structure. To improve theperformance of light pipe Laser cut panel (LCP) of acrylic material is used for collectionof light. To evaluate the performance of light, pipe a prototype of living area is modeledin design package is simulated with Tracepro.
