Fencing with a one-handed sword and a buckler has fascinated people since the 13. century. This form of fencing can be traced back to a manuscript with the inventory number I.33 of the Royal Library Museum in London. However, it is difficult to derive fencing from this manuscript alone. This fencing book contains all relevant basics for fencing with a one-handed sword and a buckler. The fencing 'Huten' are explained in detail - taking modern fencing practices into account - as well as the footwork and the trajectory of the strokes. This books focuses on the handwork. These are integral techniques - which are prepared clearly and didactically - to show beginners everything they need to know about fencing with sword and buckler.
