Symbolische Interaktion in der Residenzstadt des Spätmittelalters und der Frühen Neuzeit

The essays in this volume take a cultural-historical perspective to explore the development of the royal capital from the late Middle Ages well into the early modern era. They examine the wide range of symbolic interactions inside these royal capital societies and show that rather than being mere epiphenomena, such symbolic interactions helped constitute deeper social and political processes.
